Champagne Marie-Courtin

Champagne Marie-Courtin is a grower Champagne estate in the village of Polisot, in the Côte des Bar (Aube) in southern Champagne. Polaner Selections, the U.S. importer, places the house in the Barséquannais part of the Côte des Bar and states that Dominique Moreau created the estate in 2005.

Polaner describes the project as a series of single-vineyard, single-variety, single-vintage, zero-dosage Champagnes from biodynamically grown grapes. Decanter, in a 2017 grower profile, placed the vines in a single 2.5-hectare parcel in Polisot, mostly Pinot Noir with a small section of Chardonnay, said Moreau had been making Champagne since 2006 and farming organically from that time, with organic certification in 2010.

There is no official house website. Nominatim resolves the commune of Polisot, Aube, postcode 10110; street-level geocoding did not confirm a house number, so the stored address is village-level. Decanter listed 8 Rue de Tonnerre, 10110 Polisot; Rue de Tonnerre exists in the village, but the building number was not confirmed as a mapped point. Hours, appointments, tasting access are not published on an official house source and should be confirmed independently.

Polaner says most of the wines come from a hillside of massale-selection Pinot Noir in Polisot, on clay-limestone soils with bands of Kimmeridgian and an east/southeast exposure. Harvest is described as by hand, with native yeasts for primary and secondary fermentations and no dosage at disgorgement. Named cuvées in the Polaner book include Résonance, Efflorescence, Concordance, Eloquence, Présence, Indulgence, Allégeance. Decanter separately notes Concordance as a Pinot Noir Champagne made without added sulphur, Eloquence as a blanc de blancs from the Chardonnay section. Polaner also lists Présence as Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
