About Suigan
At a distance, Suigan’s sombre grey façade could almost be mistaken for one of the rocky edges peeking out of the lush hillside behind it. This seven-suite address sits a short distance from the city of Sapporo, within a geothermal area surrounded by acres of verdant national park, which the hotel highlights through floor-to-ceiling windows and open hot spring baths, to place guests right in the forest. Two of the seven suites also come with the bonus of a sauna. There’s no traditional restaurant, but freshly prepared meals can be delivered directly to your room — which, with their vast dimensions, and living and dining areas, feel more like private apartments.
