About Hotel Viminale
Just to the east of Rome’s historic center, between the Roma Termini rail station and the historic neighborhood of Rione Monti, Hotel Viminale stands discreetly behind a 19th-century façade. History, architectural and otherwise, is all around — which frees the Viminale to pursue a clean-lined, modernist-inspired aesthetic, a look that makes a case for Rome as a style capital on a level with Milan. In the rooms, neutral tones and handsome parquet floors strike a sober note that’s contrasted with colorful contemporary artworks and modern furnishings. In typical Roman boutique-hotel style they’re compact, but plenty comfortable. The common spaces, too, are suited to the hotel’s small scale, with a breakfast room joined by a garden and a terrace. For lunch and dinner, you’ll dine out — not a difficult proposition in this eminently walkable corner of Rome.
