About Le Hameau de Saparale
In a way, Le Hameau de Saparale hasn’t changed that much since it was built back in 1845 as a self-sufficient hamlet, home to 25 families who cultivated olive oil and wine from the surrounding lands. It even had its own post office and police station. It’s now home to hotel guests rather than local vignerons, but it still retains all of its 19th century rustic charm, and its acres of vines, olive and orange trees for unspoiled views that end with the Cagna mountains. The 16 guest rooms, all located in the main building have been tastefully decorated in classic neutral shades that complement the original stone walls, wood flooring and exposed beams. Some come with terraces and balconies that overlook the vineyards, but for more privacy, check into one of the three former sheepfolds, now turned into independent villas with their own heated pools, hammams and Jacuzzis. In the restaurant, daily changing dishes highlight the local produce of the Ortolo valley and the hotel’s own vegetable garden, and come paired with wines from the well-stocked cellar, including bottles produced by the Hameau de Saparale winery. Wellness takes place in nature, with the pool, spa treatments, and yoga classes all designed to be enjoyed outside.
