About Guest House Raleigh
Behind the seemingly straightforward name of Guest House Raleigh is a boutique hotel that rewards a closer look. This handsome 19th-century Folk Victorian–style house now stands on Bloodworth Street, walkably close to all of downtown Raleigh. But it was moved here in its entirety from a historic residential neighborhood that was threatened with demolition. Now it’s part historical restoration, part contemporary boutique hotel, effortlessly weaving together the two stylistic threads. The rooms and suites are touched by modern minimalism, but with antique accents and plenty of charm, especially in the 535-square-foot Historic Suite. Contemporary comforts abound, from in-room Keurig coffee makers and Malin + Goetz bath products to Brooklinen bedding and Coyuchi towels. A light breakfast is served en suite, and while there’s no in-house restaurant, Guest House Raleigh’s location is convenient to no end of options.
