About Dolkhar Ladakh
Dolkhar Resort might be located in Tukcha’s main town of Leh, a former stop on the silk road, but you’ll still feel like you’re in the heart of the Himalayan wilderness thanks to the natural setting of verdant foliage and mountain views. A respect for this nature underpins the resort, starting with the seven villas that have been sustainably crafted from local woods by local artisans and dressed with handwoven wool rugs and textiles weaved in nearby villages. Restaurant Tsas is set withing Dolkhar’s apple and apricot orchard and follows the same principles, serving a hyper seasonal menu that highlights produce from the resort’s own kitchen garden. Similarly, the spa eschews the usual beauty and anti-aging treatments in favour of deeper relaxation through practices such as meditation and treatments that are rooted in indigenous ingredients and traditions.
