About Umito Kamakura Koshigoe
Once the political capital of Japan, Kamakura now has a more relaxed reputation as a seaside escape for Tokyo urbanites, who are just an hour away by train from the town’s sea air and sandy beaches. Sitting in front of Koshigoe Beach is UMITO Kamakura Koshigoe, an intimate auberge where the sea is always in sight from just two spacious suites. Each occupies its own floor for extra privacy and comes with an ocean-view sauna, an open-air bath, and a large terrace overlooking Enoshima Island. In the restaurant, classic French culinary techniques are applied to seasonal local ingredients to create a refined gastronomic experience complemented by an interesting collection of Japanese and French wines.
