About Hotel Ao Kamakura
Hotel Ao Kamakura builds on the resounding success of the restaurant of the same name with a sleek, contemporary take on an upscale guesthouse by architect Manabu Chiba. Its 16 rooms, each named for a particular hue of blue in Japanese, are arrayed around a serene central courtyard. An indoor-outdoor aesthetic brings sweeping seaside views in and reflects the forest back with gorgeous woodwork and plenty of plantlife. Rooms come individually designed, with private terraces and interesting sightlines of their own.
