About Hanamurasaki
Hanamurasaki is a ryokan (a Japanese inn rooted in hospitality traditions) set above the forested gorge of Kakusenkei in Yamanaka Onsen. The setting is calm but not remote, with views from every room and a mineral-rich spring that has fed the Onsen baths here for centuries. Meals follow the kaiseki format, but without rigidity and guests can opt for à la carte dining or pair sake and wine with a seasonal course menu. There is even a modern tea lounge serving cocktails and local Kaga bōcha. All of it feels personal, intentional, and immersive.
