About La Maison Pavie
Standing opposite the Basilique Saint-Sauveur, La Maison Pavie provides a picture of what Brittany must have looked like during the Middle Ages. Set in a meticulously restored 15th-century building, this boutique bed and breakfast features historic architectural details inside and out, such as wattle-and-daub walls, massive exposed beams, and even a “pattes de lion” fireplace, along with all the modern comforts you’d expect. Each one is inspired by a town visited by the famous French explorer Auguste Pavie, who was born in the house in 1847. Guests can enjoy their lavish breakfast, including traditional Breton galettes and home-made jams, inside the dining room or in a romantic walled garden.
