The Puglian city of Bari is newly resurgent, and its hospitality scene is evolving to match. Bra Hotel is set in Murat, the center of modern Bari, yet it’s barely three streets away from either the waterfront or the historic Bari Vecchia. Inside, it’s the kind of urbanely stylish and tastefully luxurious hotel that was largely absent this side of Rome. Rooms come with luxe touches like chromotherapy showers and Diptyque bath products, while the top-of-the-line suite features a whirlpool tub and an en-suite hammam. It also overlooks the shopping street below, which is another strength of Bra’s location. And though this city-center neighborhood is full of restaurants and bars, the hotel features three of its own: the upscale Celebra, the swanky Lounge Bar, and the poolside Rooftop, clad in heavenly white marble.
