    Domaine Matrot Dinner

    The Read

    About this event

A family-run estate for six generations, Domaine Matrot’s origins can be traced back to 1835. The arrival of Thierry Matrot in 1976 marked a pivotal moment in the continued growth of the domaine’s reputation, the wines made by Thierry and his wife Pascale over the next 30+ years would elevate them to the top tier of Meursault producers. Today, their daughters, the dynamic sisters Adèle & Elsa Matrot, continue the family legacy of producing wines that are pure of fruit with expressive terroir-driven character. This dinner at The Morris will showcase the Matrot savoir-faire, beginning à la Bourguignonne - as one often tastes in Burgundy, starting with the reds - in this case with a vertical of Matrot’s Blagny Rouge from a rare piece of terroir that is equally suited to both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We will then experience a fabulous progression of Matrot’s best white wine terroirs, through horizontal tastings of the 2020 and 2014 vintage, closing with a stunning vertical of Meursault Perrières back to 1995. Logistics: Thursday, February 26, 2026 | The Morris | 2501 Mariposa St, San Francisco, CA 94110 | $725 + tax.
