    About the event

    An eight-wine Henriot masterclass

Champagne Henriot’s Cuvée des Enchanteleurs back to 1989 is an in-person Champagne masterclass in London organised by 67 Pall Mall. The session is led by Corentin Bazetoux, Champagne Henriot’s vineyard and winemaking manager, and focuses on the house’s prestige bottling Cuvée des Enchanteleurs, including wines released under the Hemera name.

    Cuvée 38, Hemera and Enchanteleurs

The tasting flight features eight wines: NV Brut Souverain, Cuvée 38, 2015 Cuvée des Enchanteleurs, 2013 Hemera, 2008 Hemera, 2006 Hemera, 2000 Cuvée des Enchanteleurs and 1989 Cuvée des Enchanteleurs. The programme places the current Enchanteleurs name alongside Hemera, the name used after the cuvée was renamed in 2005 before Henriot announced a return to the historic branding with the 2015 vintage.

Cuvée 38 adds a different strand of Henriot’s prestige range. It began when Joseph Henriot set aside outstanding Blanc de Blancs from four Chardonnay grands crus in a single vat, creating a perpetual reserve rather than a conventional vintage or multi-vintage blend. Henriot describes it as produced in very limited quantities and bottled only in magnum.

    Bazetoux and the house context

Bazetoux’s role connects the tasting to Henriot’s vineyard and winemaking work. His background includes training in Bordeaux, early-career experience in the Loire Valley, the Médoc and Western Australia, and a return to France in 2021 as a viticultural consultant advising winemakers for the Champagne Committee. He now assists Henriot cellar master Alice Tétienne, with a focus that includes precision viticulture.

Henriot has built vineyard sources across 17 grands crus and 42 premiers crus, primarily in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. The house is described as having two prestige cuvées, which is reflected in this programme’s combination of Cuvée des Enchanteleurs or Hemera with Cuvée 38.

    Schedule

The official programme lists a welcome reception, followed by the masterclass and its close later the same evening. It places the event in the St James’s Room.
