Guest Chef Takeover: Dean Boskovich is a pop-up guest chef dinner service at Potential New Boyfriend in Asheville. The event is structured around three seatings, each with a two-hour reservation window, and guests are encouraged to arrive at the beginning of their window. Potential New Boyfriend is both the host and venue for the dinner, with the location listed at 647 Haywood Rd in Asheville, NC, United States.
Dean Boskovich is planning a menu of snacky, shareable small plates. Most dishes for the event will be vegetarian or pescatarian. The menu is also tied to Boskovich’s ongoing private-chef work, which focuses on wood-fired cooking, seasonal ingredients, and wholesome, nourishing dishes.
Reservations are priced at $25, and the full amount is applied to the food bill, leaving guests to choose what they want to eat during the dinner. For dietary restrictions beyond vegetarian or pescatarian dishes, guests are asked to let the organizers know, with accommodation handled as best as possible.
Boskovich worked at Potential New Boyfriend during its first year, after earlier chef experience that included Edible Arrangements, T.G.I. Friday’s, and Francis Mallmann’s 1884 in Mendoza, Argentina. His background also includes chef and culinary director roles at Vinnie’s, Jettie Rae’s, and Gan Shan.
Since departing Potential New Boyfriend, Boskovich has been working on a Modern Argentinian concept in Southern California while continuing private-chef work. Those current projects connect directly to the event’s small-plate format and its focus on wood-fired and seasonal cooking.
