Which restaurants are on this list?

Olympos Naoussa Restaurant
Thessaloniki, Greece
Olympos Naoussa Restaurant is a practical pick for a central Thessaloniki meal when setting and flexibility matter more than a fully documented chef-led format. Book it for a waterfront date, business meal, or small celebration; choose another option if the priority is confirmed takeout strength or detailed menu planning in advance.

The Zillers Rooftop Gastronomy
Athens, Greece
A 2024 Michelin-starred rooftop tasting menu restaurant in central Athens with direct Acropolis views and a wine list built around Greek varieties. At the €€€ tier, below most of its Michelin peers in the city, it offers two creative tasting menus from chef Vasilis Roussos. Book three to four weeks out; Friday is the one night it does not open.

Spondi
Athens, Greece
Spondi holds a Michelin star, La Liste recognition (84 points, 2026), and a Les Grandes Tables du Monde award. Chef Angelos Lantos runs a contemporary Greek-French tasting menu in a neoclassical courtyard setting in Pangrati. Book four weeks ahead minimum: this is hard to get into, especially on weekends, and worth it for a special occasion.

Soil Restaurant
Athens, Greece
Michelin-starred Chef Tasos Mantis runs a single tasting menu out of a neoclassical house in Pagrati, built around produce from a family vegetable garden. Ranked in Europe's top 400 by Opinionated About Dining, Soil is Athens's clearest case for nature-rooted fine dining. Booking is Easy, which makes it worth adding to any serious food itinerary in the city.

see|ds
Athens, Greece
see|ds holds consecutive Michelin Plate recognition for 2024 and 2025, making it one of the more reliable modern cuisine options in Athens at the €€€ price point. Chef Robert Curry's kitchen earns its inspector approval without the €€€€ commitment of Spondi or Botrini's. Easy to book and worth the return visit.

Varoulko Seaside
Athens, Greece
Varoulko Seaside in Piraeus is the clearest argument for serious seafood in greater Athens, with Michelin Plate recognition, La Liste ranking, and a Piraeus waterfront setting that earns the trip from the city centre.

Selene
Santorini, Greece
Selene is the strongest case for serious contemporary Greek dining in Santorini. With 36 years of operation, an OAD Top 500 Europe ranking (2025), and a wine list of 580 selections overseen by Wine Director Yiannis Karakasis, it earns its $$$ price point. Book for a special occasion in shoulder season and prioritise the tasting menu with wine pairings.

GB Roof Garden
Athens, Greece
GB Roof Garden holds back-to-back Michelin Plate recognition (2024 and 2025) and a 4.7-star rating across nearly 2,400 reviews, making it one of Athens's most reliable upper-mid dining choices. The Mediterranean menu and Acropolis views from the Grande Bretagne rooftop make this a €€€ special-evening restaurant. Book ahead in summer; easy to secure outside peak season.

Hervé
Athens, Greece
A Michelin-starred tasting menu restaurant in Petralona, Hervé delivers fusion cooking across French, Asian, and Italian influences at €€€ pricing: below the top tier of Athens fine dining. Counter seating is the best spot in the house. Book at least two to three weeks out; this is a hard reservation at any point in the week.

Pelagos
Athens, Greece
Among Athens-region Michelin-starred restaurants, Pelagos at Four Seasons Astir Palace in Vouliagmeni sits in a distinct tier: Italian-born Chef Luca Piscazzi applies classical French technique to Aegean ingredients, earning a Michelin star in 2024. Three tasting menus run alongside à la carte, with a sea-view terrace that makes the 25-kilometre drive from central Athens a considered part of the evening's planning.

Gallina
Athens, Greece
Gallina earned a Michelin Plate in 2024, less than two years after opening near the Acropolis. The à la carte menu takes a French bistro approach at €€€€ pricing, and reservations are easier to secure than the recognition implies. For a Michelin-recognised meal in central Athens without the booking stress, this is a sound choice.

SENSE
Athens, Greece
Choose SENSE for a polished creative dinner in central Athens when the occasion matters but the budget does not stretch to the city's higher-priced creative rooms. Its Michelin Plate recognition gives useful quality assurance, and the €€€ tier makes it a practical middle ground between Simul and pricier options like Makris Athens or Delta.

Fine Mess Smokehouse
Athens, Greece
Against Athens peers built around Greek, seafood, rooftop, or hotel dining, Fine Mess Smokehouse is the practical pick for a casual celebration centered on barbecue and drinks. The Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition supports the value case, especially for groups that want energy over formality.

Aleria
Athens, Greece
At €€€ with easy booking, it is one of the most accessible credentialled dinner options in the city. Book it for a composed, conversation-friendly evening of serious Greek cooking.

Pharaoh
Athens, Greece
A 2024 Michelin Bib Gourmand makes Pharaoh a credentialled value-for-money Greek table in central Athens at the €€ price point. Chef Manolis Papoutsakis runs a daily-changing market menu that rewards diners who trust the kitchen. Book ahead for weekends; walk-ins are viable midweek.

Makris Athens
Athens, Greece
Makris Athens holds a 2024 Michelin Star and sits at the foot of the Parthenon in a building that was once Greece's first inn. Chef Patron Petros Dimas runs three tasting menus built on farm-sourced ingredients, backed by a 300-plus label wine list. Open Tuesday to Saturday, dinner only: book well ahead.

Vezené
Athens, Greece
A Michelin Plate–recognised wood-fired grill restaurant in Athens's Kolonaki neighbourhood, open since 2011. Vezené serves pasture-raised meats and locally sourced seafood at a €€€ price point: dinner only, easy to book, and a reliable choice for a quality meal without the formality of Athens's tasting-menu rooms.

Tudor Hall
Athens, Greece
Tudor Hall sits on Syntagma Square with a 3-Star World of Fine Wine Accreditation and rooftop dining overlooking the Acropolis. It suits food and wine travellers who want a central Athens base with a credibly vetted wine program. Booking is rated Easy, but summer rooms and Tudor Hall dinner reservations should be secured two to four weeks ahead.

Ovio
Athens, Greece
Ovio holds a Michelin Plate for two consecutive years (2024–2025) and sits at the €€ price tier, making it the clearest Italian contemporary option in central Athens for diners who want Michelin-level consistency without the top-tier spend. Book a midweek table in shoulder season for the best experience in Plaka. Easy to secure with a few days' notice.

VERi TABLE
Athens, Greece
Situated in residential Neo Psichiko, it suits special-occasion lunches and weekend dining away from the tourist circuit. Book it when you want French technique in Athens without Spondi's €€€€ price tag.

Akra
Athens, Greece
Akra holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand (2024) and sits at a single euro-sign price point, making it one of the best-value Michelin-recognised tables in Athens. Chef Orazio Parisi runs a Greek kitchen in the quiet Mets neighbourhood: the right address when you want independently validated cooking without the bill that usually accompanies it.

Esthiō
Athens, Greece
Esthiō is worth booking if Balkan cooking is the reason for dinner, not a side note. In Athens' €€€ tier, it is a more specific, food-led choice than the rooftop and hotel dining options, with Michelin Plate recognition adding credibility. Best for small groups and curious diners; less ideal for view-driven celebrations.

Patio
Athens, Greece
Patio holds a Michelin star (2024) and operates just nine terrace tables in the courtyard of The Margi hotel in Vouliagmeni, 30 minutes from central Athens. Two tasting menus, one fish-led, one farm-driven, draw on the chef's own farm supply. Book 6–8 weeks out. At €€€€, it earns its place for a special occasion meal with a coastal backdrop.

Dolli's
Athens, Greece
Dolli's holds a Michelin Plate from the 2024 Athens selection and offers Mediterranean dining in central Athens at the €€€ tier. Located steps from Athens Cathedral on Mitropoleos, it works well for a weekend lunch or morning visit before exploring Monastiraki. Booking is easy: reserve ahead and you're set.

Lauda Restaurant
Oia, Greece
Lauda Restaurant is a cliffside Oia pick for occasion-led dining rather than a data-heavy chef or awards play. Consider it for a date night, anniversary, or small celebration where setting matters; compare first if value, wine focus, or a more casual meal is the priority.

Lycabettus
Oia, Greece
Lycabettus works for a polished Oia dinner where the caldera setting and wine program matter more than menu specifics. Star Wine List recognition in 2026 gives it a useful trust signal, but the limited public detail on cuisine, pricing, and group setup means it suits special-occasion planners better than diners trying to compare menus line by line.

Cerdo Negro 1985
Athens, Greece
Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition at €€ pricing makes Cerdo Negro 1985 the clearest value proposition in Athens' awarded dining scene. Chef Buncharas "Yai" Kaewwattanabunwong brings a cross-cultural precision to Mediterranean cuisine in Gazi. Easy to book and worth it for food-focused visitors who want quality without the fine-dining spend.

Hytra
Athens, Greece
Hytra holds a Michelin star and ranks in Opinionated About Dining's top 300 European restaurants, delivering modern Greek cooking, including the fully plant-based Think Green menu, at €€€ pricing. It's the strongest value proposition in Athens' serious dining tier, with a bar program worth staying late for. Book 3–4 weeks out minimum; terrace seating fills first.

Simul
Athens, Greece
A Michelin Plate-recognised creative kitchen in Kolonaki with back-to-back recognition in 2024 and 2025, Simul delivers awarded cooking at a €€ price point that is rare in Athens. Book a few days ahead; weekend slots move fastest.

zohόs
Athens, Greece
zohόs is a practical central Athens dinner pick when convenience matters more than a documented chef, awards profile, or defined tasting format. Choose it for an easy evening near the city's core; compare with Nolan for value, Aneton for Mediterranean clarity, and Ovio for Italian-contemporary cooking.

Amphibian
Athens, Greece
Amphibian is worth booking when you want modern Greek cooking in a polished Onassis Stegi setting rather than a classic taverna or formal tasting-menu room. The $60-per-person level makes sense for sharing plates, rooftop energy, and a culture-night plan in Neos Kosmos.

Linou Soumpasis k sia
Athens, Greece
A Michelin Plate-recognised Greek kitchen in central Athens that has held its recognition in both 2024 and 2025: and does it at the €€ price tier, making it the most efficient value play among Athens's credentialled Greek restaurants.

CTC - Urban Gastronomy
Athens, Greece
Choose CTC - Urban Gastronomy for a polished Athens tasting-menu dinner where the kitchen controls the experience and modern Greek-Mediterranean technique is the draw. It is strongest for couples, first-time fine-dining visitors, and special occasions; skip it if the group wants à la carte flexibility or a casual Greek bistro mood.

Botrini's
Athens, Greece
Botrini's is Athens's most compelling argument for a suburban detour: a Michelin-starred, Greek-Italian tasting menu in a converted school in Halandri, open until midnight Tuesday to Saturday. Book three to four weeks out for the chef's table or outdoor terrace. At €€€€, the price is justified by independent recognition and a kitchen that takes vegetables as seriously as it does land and sea.

To Manitari
Kalamaria, Greece
Book To Manitari for an easy Kalamaria meal rather than a high-stakes destination dinner. Its daily afternoon-to-late schedule makes it practical for lunch, family meals, and relaxed dates, but wine-led diners and special-occasion planners should confirm the current list and budget before committing.

Botrini's Santorini
Oia, Greece
Botrini's Santorini works for a polished Oia dinner when you want a composed, service-led evening without overcomplicating the plan. Details on menu format and pricing are not clear enough for diners who need full certainty, so compare it with Black Rock Restaurant or Adami Restaurant before committing to a special-occasion night.

Delta
Athens, Greece
Delta holds two Michelin stars and a La Liste Top 1,000 placement: the most credentialed creative Greek restaurant in Athens. Set inside the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the space is as considered as the cooking. Book as far ahead as possible; demand at this level makes reservations genuinely difficult to secure.

Thirio
Athens, Greece
Thirio is worth booking for a modern Greek dinner in Syntagma when the open-kitchen counter is part of the appeal. It suits dates, solo diners, and small celebrations better than large groups, with a creative gastrotaverna style built around reworked Greek references rather than classic taverna comfort.

Nolan
Athens, Greece
Nolan is the strongest value-per-euro case in central Athens right now: Michelin Bib Gourmand in both 2024 and 2025, a 4.6 from over 4,000 reviews, and a fusion kitchen that runs until 11:30 pm six nights a week. At the single-euro price tier, it delivers credentialled cooking without the cost or formality of Athens' higher-tier options.

About This Edition
The 2027 selection adds Thessaloniki and Santorini to Athens. Lycabettus in Santorini debuts with Two Stars. Seven restaurants newly receive One Star, seven join the Bib Gourmand group and 21 join the recommended category. These are additions within the totals, not extra restaurants to add again. Michelin published the results on October 20, 2026. Pearl has 62 linked staging records against the official 62. Matching counts alone do not certify identity coverage, and public cards can be fewer while venue publication checks are outstanding. Shared addresses are not sufficient evidence that two named restaurants are duplicates.
