The 100 Most Incredible Hotels in the World — Page 2

Carmel Beach Hotel is a strong Carmel-by-the-Sea choice for travelers who want a calmer coastal base rather than a corporate-hotel setup. It works especially well for short business trips where location and ease matter more than loyalty points, large meeting spaces, or a dining-led stay.

Raffles Doha is a hotel in Lusail's Marina District near Doha.

Sirai House is the Nanyuki-area pick for travelers who want a private, high-luxury base rather than a conventional safari lodge or resort. Its 2025 World Travel Awards recognition and 2026 Fodor's inclusion support the splurge case, especially for groups prioritizing privacy, but business travelers and short-stay guests may be better served by a more standard hotel setup.

Borana Lodge is a strong Nanyuki-area pick for travelers building a Laikipia lodge itinerary rather than chasing hotel-chain points. Book it for setting and safari-country pacing; compare Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club if you want a more conventional hotel framework, or Sirai House and Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy if privacy is the priority.

Longitude 131 is the premium Yulara choice for travellers who want the Uluru stay itself to carry the trip. The case is strongest for guests prioritising desert atmosphere, privacy, and recognised luxury-hotel credentials over conventional value metrics. Compare regional lodges first if the itinerary is more activity-led than room-led.
