About Ela Tinos
Though just a fifteen-minute ferry ride away from Mykonos, the island of Tinos, considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Greece, feels like a world apart. It’s a place for quiet hikes and dozing by the sea, and the boutique resort Ela Tinos, located near the island’s southernmost point, matches the Tinos’s wavelength with a collection of elegant suites overlooking the Aegean. Understated luxury is a guiding principle around the spacious pool deck framed by fringed parasols and sunbeds draped in billowing white cotton. Rooms are similarly stylish but laid-back, outfitted in minimalist decor and natural materials like native wood and raw linen. Some have private terraces with pools or hot tubs, and all are modern but down-to-earth, with little to distract from the dizzyingly beautiful surroundings. A petite fitness center and spa add to the appeal, and the beach is minutes away.
