About Thingholt by Center Hotels
They’re not kidding when they say “Center Hotels.” Thingholt — or Þingholt, if your display settings are up to date — is set just off the Laugavegur shopping avenue, and a few blocks over from the Austurvöllur Square. It’s set in an industrial building from the Forties, renovated in a minimalist, largely monochrome modern style by the Icelandic-born, L.A.-based Gulla Jónsdóttir. Along with 52 swanky rooms and suites it’s got a full-featured day spa and a stylish lounge — and while there’s no restaurant in-house, the surrounding neighborhood comes generously supplied, including several at the other nearby Center Hotels properties.
