About Palacete Severo
Palacete Severo was once the home of Ricardo Severo, a Portuguese archaeologist and architect who built this yellow-fronted townhouse for his Brazilian wife using details gathered from across the country: carved wood, tiled eaves, a stone staircase, and a loggia for watching the garden. Today, it’s a 19-room hotel that still feels residential in spirit, with hand-painted ceilings, stained glass by Catalan artist Antoni Rigalt, and gallery-worthy art throughout. Between the light, the layers, and the garden views, it hardly feels like a hotel at all.
