It doesn’t quite do justice to the Manila Marriott to call it an airport hotel, though by definition — it’s located across the street from Terminal 3, accessible on foot via a pedestrian bridge — that’s precisely what it is. But it’s also one of the most luxurious hotels in a city known for luxurious hotels. Part of the Newport World Resorts entertainment complex, along with upscale shops, restaurants, casinos, and a performing arts theater, the Manila Marriott also features a world-class steakhouse, a stylish tea and whiskey bar, the state-of-the-art Quan Spa, and four outdoor swimming pools. Rooms are modern and minimalist, with sleek wood paneling, boldly patterned rugs, spacious bathrooms with freestanding tubs, and floor-to-ceiling windows, many facing the city skyline.
