About Meliá Koh Samui
The first Meliá hotel in Thailand, Meliá Koh Samui stands on Choeng Mon Beach, on the island’s northwest coast. The majority of the accommodations come in the form of relatively conventional rooms and suites, many of them overlooking the vast lagoon-like pool that snakes across the property. But the most distinctive feature has to be the Boat Suites, a series of teak barges, once working vessels, that have been converted into self-contained villa-like suites. Add to this a pair of restaurants, a spa and fitness center, and a kids’ club featuring a miniature water park, and you’ve got a remarkably complete Thai island escape.
