About THE PIG in the Cotswolds
From outside, this well-aged 17th-century house in the Cotswold village of Barnsley promises a trip back in time, but its interiors are a perfect mix of historical charm and contemporary luxury, especially in its luxe and stylish rooms and suites. The hotel’s gardens, by the legendary Rosemary Verey, are truly extraordinary and seemingly without end, and tucked away down a winding path is a spa with a lovely outdoor hydrotherapy pool. The Potager restaurant serves refined modern British fare using ingredients from (and with views of) the hotel’s vegetable garden, and the Village Pub, a few steps down the road, provides a more casual (but still elevated) option.
