    About Carducci 76

The Adriatic coast near Fellini’s old haunt of Rimini is a well-traveled tourist destination, particularly among Italians. Carducci 76, however, has developed an international following, a fashion- and design-conscious crowd, drawn to an intimate beachfront villa hotel that’s conspicuous by contrast with the rather graceless development elsewhere along the coast. That Carducci 76 should be a rather stylish hotel is no surprise, considering its pedigree — it’s owned by the same family that’s behind the Ferretti fashion house, and the interiors are chic and cosmopolitan, in a style that should feel comfortably familiar to its sophisticated, globetrotting audience. There’s a subtly Japanese Zen thread throughout, and some African accents as well, and the décor and furnishings are smartly minimalist. There’s no end of activity along this stretch of coastline, and plenty for tourists to see and do — yet most guests here are content to relax by the pool during the day and pass the evenings in the lounge atmosphere of the hotel bar. Dining options abound nearby but the Ferretti family’s next-door seafood restaurant is a sure bet. Please note: Carducci 76 is closed for the winter from October through March. How to get there: Carducci 76 is approximately 20 mins by car from Federico Fellini Airport Rimini (RMI). Arrival to Rimini by train from: Bologna: 1 hour Florence: 2 hours (transfer in Bologna) Rome: 4 hours (transfer in Bologna)
