About MOB Cannes
With several stylish hotels in France and a few more set to open in Los Angeles and New York, the MOB brand is all about social experiences and sustainable practices — each features a plethora of indoor and outdoor common spaces, budget-friendly rooms, a certified organic restaurant, and a rotating calendar of cultural events. So it is at the newest iteration of the concept, MOB Hotel Cannes. Like its sister hotels in greater Paris, it’s on the city’s outskirts; in keeping with the MOB ethos, the property, housed in an eye-catching 1980s-era residence surrounded by lush gardens, was renovated using mostly existing and recycled materials. Rooms are modern, compact, and light-filled. Simply outfitted with pale wood furnishings, Tediber beds, and convenient kitchenettes with vintage mini-fridges — everything you need to chill and serve a bottle of locally produced rosé — they’re cozy and bright, like a chic friend’s apartment. Larger suites come with private terraces and large-scale original artwork. But the idea here isn’t to spend time in the room: down by the palm tree-framed swimming pool, an organic breakfast buffet includes Mediterranean dishes built around produce from the vegetable garden, and an all-day food and drink menu is served to chaises on the wooden deck.
