About Parkhotel Laurin
For many travelers South Tyrol is synonymous with mountain lodges, but the city of Bolzano has its urban (and urbane) side, too. Parkhotel Laurin dates back to 1910, and it looks it — the Art Nouveau façade is the very picture of grand-hotel splendor, and its interiors are no less impressive. And while its rooms and suites aren’t exactly historical reproductions, neither are they chasing after boutique-hotel cool; instead, they’re a handsome blend of original architectural features and subtle contemporary design. Nor are the rooms and suites the whole story, in this or any other grand hotel. The hotel’s park and gardens are a fair-weather delight, and guests dine al fresco in the warmer months. There’s an outdoor pool in the English garden, with a Finnish sauna by its side. A bistro and bar strike a convivial note, and in the park’s old Art Nouveau greenhouse you’ll find Contanima, the hotel’s haute-cuisine restaurant.
