A decade after opening the exclusive, bohemian-chic Scorpios Mykonos — one of the world’s most famous beach clubs — the Scorpios lifestyle brand expanded to include a second location on Turkey’s Bodrum Peninsula. The sleek Scorpios Bodrum has plenty in common with its predecessor: a spectacular location, in this case on a clifftop partly surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, modern Mediterranean design, a focus on wellness, and a lively cultural calendar highlighting international DJs and local musicians. But at the Bodrum location, you don’t have to leave when the party’s over. Twelve bungalows, built of stone and arranged in a circle, are slightly set apart from the rest of the beach club. They’re minimalist with character-filled details like low-lying built-in sofas and handwoven Turkish rugs. All have king-sized beds, large private terraces with ocean-facing infinity pools, and luxurious indoor-outdoor bathrooms, many with open-air tubs. Breakfast is served directly to each bungalow, but by midday, it’s hard to resist wandering down to the beach club to people-watch on a chaise longue, which inevitably leads to sharing mezze and sparkling wines in the airy restaurant with sweeping views over the sea. Other highlights include the Ritual Space, with its yoga decks and spa treatments rooted in ancient practices, and the sunset ritual, Scorpios’ signature nightly event with dancing under the stars.
