In the village of Bélesta, just outside of Perpignan, in the corner of France most deeply touched by Catalan culture, is the Domaine Riberach, a winery co-op turned hotel, something of a modern eco-lodge right in the shadow of the village’s medieval castle. Its owners are architects, which accounts for the building’s visual distinctiveness, as well as a predilection for articulated lamps and modernist furniture. In addition to the lodgings there’s a working vineyard and a natural winery, whose products are for sale in the hotel’s shop; there’s also a spa and three restaurants, including a gastronomic option and a barbecue pop-up.
