Falstaff Austria Special Awards recognize specific achievements in restaurants and hotels, including honors for hospitality professionals. They are separate from ordinary points-based guide ratings.

The Austrian hotel and restaurant guides publish their own category announcements. A lifetime achievement award, chef honor, design category and family-hotel award each describe a different achievement.
