Bocce Ristorante

In East Sacramento, Bocce Ristorante is a casual Italian neighborhood market and deli built around housemade pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and seasonal vegetable and fruit sides. The dining room seats about five tables, with more seating outside, and the menu changes with what local farms have harvested.

Small dining room, market case, daily-changing Italian food

The practical appeal is the crossover between eating in and taking food home. The restaurant serves housemade pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and seasonal vegetable and fruit sides, while the market case carries dry pasta, sauces, and meats made in house for dinner later. That makes it useful when the decision is not only where to eat in Sacramento, but also what to pick up and finish at home.

The restaurant is a more casual counterpart to Chef Joe Pruner’s fine-dining career, applying the same techniques at a more approachable price. Expect the experience to lean low-key, with the market-and-deli format shaping the visit.

Order around the farm-driven rotation

Menu’s daily movement is the main reason to pay attention. First-timers can look to pasta, pizza, sandwiches, and the seasonal vegetable and fruit sides, then let the current farm produce guide the order. The housemade pantry items are also part of the point here, especially if dinner at home is part of the plan. With only about five indoor tables and additional outdoor seating, the restaurant keeps the scale small while staying casual at its core.
