AHEAD Americas 2026 Guestrooms Shortlist

Delano Miami Beach is worth booking for a polished beachfront leisure stay where the pool, beach, dining, and wellness programming do most of the work. It is strongest for couples, solo travelers, and small groups who want a social Miami Beach base with softer rooms and a resort rhythm, not a quiet business hotel.

Heights Hotel Daphne suits travelers who want the character of Houston's Heights neighborhood over a full-service downtown address. Booking is straightforward with no significant lead-time required. Verify pool and spa facilities directly before booking if wellness amenities are central to your decision: confirmed alternatives in Houston include Hotel ZaZa Museum District and The Post Oak.

Hotel Sevilla is the Mérida pick for travelers who care about design credibility more than a resort-style amenity list. Its current recognition from Tablet Hotels, Travel + Leisure, Design Hotels, and the MICHELIN Guide makes it a smart celebration or couples stay, especially when booking needs to be easy.

Rosewood Mandarina is worth shortlisting for a Puerto Vallarta-area trip when the hotel is meant to anchor the itinerary, not just provide a room. Its 2026 recognition from Conde Nast Hot List Hotels and Travel + Leisure It List Hotels gives it a clear trust signal, but it is better suited to resort-led work-and-leisure stays than fast-moving city schedules.

Book The Nickel Hotel if the Charleston trip needs King Street convenience and a design-led room for a celebration or polished weekend. It is easier to justify when rates sit below the city's more established luxury hotels; if rates are close, compare room category, space, and service expectations against Hotel Bennett Charleston or The Dewberry.
