2026 Wine List of the Year: Mountain

The National Restaurant Awards were launched in 2007 to celebrate the UK eating-out scene. The Top 100 is produced from an academy of more than 200 chefs, restaurateurs, and food writers: the UK is split into 11 regions, voters nominate seven restaurants they have visited in the previous 12 months, and those weighted votes form the national ranking. The specialist awards sit alongside that ranking and identify category leaders in service, drinks, sustainability, regional excellence, and notable new openings. Mountain is the sole winner of the 2026 Wine List of the Year award. Mountain's wine list is overseen by Holly Willcocks and Martina Larnach and supports the restaurant's Welsh-Spanish cooking. The 2026 award recognizes a roughly 500-bin, Europe-focused program with strong Champagne depth, island and high-altitude wines, carafes, by-the-glass choices, magnums, and a value-led Down to Earth section.
