About King Jason Zante
As the name suggests, it’s luxury all the way at King Jason Zante, an exclusive adults-only getaway overlooking the Ionian Sea on the Greek island of Zakynthos. The hotel embraces a philosophy of slow living — priorities include a restful atmosphere, leisurely meals, and down-to-earth activities like meditation walks and bread baking — and while “slowness coaches” are available to help guests unwind, they’re not strictly necessary in these surroundings. King Jason Zante is like an island on an island: water covers nearly half of the sprawling hilltop property, with idyllic swimming pools stretching out toward the sea from nearly every angle. Swim-up suites have private terraces at the pools’ edges, and the highest-end options have private pools, but every suite has water views. The sophisticated interiors mimic the island landscape, too, simply and beautifully outfitted in neutral tones and natural materials like wood and stone. Suites are cool and quiet, like the rest of the resort, including a state-of-the-art spa and fitness center, a poolside bar, and several restaurants. One has a walk-in cave for wine and olive oil tastings, and picnics can be arranged amid the olive groves on request.
