About W Xiamen
The southeastern Chinese city of Xiamen is known as the “garden by the sea,” and it’s this lively set of contrasts that the W Xiamen is meant to evoke. The signature purples and pinks are present, as are local artworks, modernist-inspired furnishings, and marble bathrooms that evoke Art Deco splendor. Min Yen, the flagship restaurant, is festooned with greenery, while Heat, one of the hotel’s two bars, means its name literally, providing a hot tub in addition to a resident DJ. The spa, too, is a spectacular sight, thanks to its intricate screened walls and mosaic tiles.
