About The Moment Hotel Yilan by Lakeshore
Taiwan's first cluster-style hotel at Yilan Arts Center features six rooms named after traditional Taiwanese conventions: Zhuangtou, Daocheng, Qiaotou, Sankuaicuo, Yuedao, Tongqi. Architect Huang Sheng-yuan designed the accommodations using red brick, terrazzo, and raw wood, preserving bamboo groves and ponds that connect to the Dongshan River ecosystem. Minnan-style architecture fills the grounds: corridors, pavilions, and wooden chairs that recall old Taiwan. Guests stay within the National Center for Traditional Arts, wandering freely through the complex's cultural exhibits and workshops. Less a hotel than a night spent inside a living museum of Taiwanese craft traditions.
