About Hotel De Zeevaartschool
Zeeland’s historic maritime academy was blessed with an extraordinary location right on Vlissingen’s seaside promenade — good news for apprentice sailors, but even better news for patrons of the building’s new occupant, the Hotel De Zevaartschool. The original structure is a national monument, and was thus carefully preserved, leaving the old students’ quarters compact and cozy. But if there’s one nation we trust to make efficient use of space, it’s the Netherlands; here the smallest rooms feel spacious enough, and the family-friendly Quad rooms make clever use of a loft and a miller’s staircase. To its appealing accommodations the Hotel De Zevaartschool adds a versatile all-day restaurant as well as a bar with a sea-facing terrace. Outside, the beaches (and the cycling paths) beckon.
