    About Neringa Hotel

Located on Gediminas Avenue — often referred to as the "Champs-Élysées of Vilnius" — this historic building dates back to 1917 and began operating as a hotel in 1939. In the late 1950s, it was redesigned and reconstructed by architect brothers Algimantas and Vytautas Nasvyčiai, officially reopening as the Neringa Hotel in 1960. Alongside its legendary restaurant, the hotel quickly became a key cultural hub in Vilnius and a national symbol of modernist architecture. Following a three-year renovation, the hotel reopened in 2021. While modern engineering solutions were implemented, the building’s historical character was carefully preserved — including its original façade, artistic features, and core design concept. The interior design draws inspiration from the Lithuanian seaside, featuring a warm color palette and locally sourced materials, arts, and crafts. The flooring in the rooms mimics sandy beaches, while the beds have sun-shaped headboards. Custom-made Lithuanian textiles are used throughout, with patterns replicating the original 1960s restaurant tapestries. In addition to the namesake restaurant, the hotel features several bar options: one in the lobby, a rooftop bar with panoramic city views, and an underground bar. The rooftop also houses a small, pleasantly bright fitness room.
