About Hotel Somnifabrik
A paper mill dating to 1790 in the Matarraña region of Teruel, Somnifabrik has been pulled back from industrial dormancy and turned into a 14-room rural hotel without erasing what it was. The renovation kept the original stonework, textures, and structural bones largely intact, which means no two rooms are identical and the building's past reads clearly through the walls. The Matarraña itself is an under-visited territory, with Valderrobres and the nearby village of Beceite offering medieval architecture and river gorges that reward the detour. Spa, restaurant, and event space complete the picture, but the building's story is reason enough to come.
