About Grand HiLai Taipei
Grand Hilai Taipei is, if you’ll pardon the coinage, minimaximalist — a monolithic high rise in steel, glass, and neon, but also a rejuvenating, high-ceilinged approach to public space as a concept. You get mirrors and marble, but you also get neo-Deco curvilinear accents and furnishings you can actually relax in. The idea is to keep the energy timeless, neither rushed nor listless, perfect for the luxe business set for whom the border between business and leisure travel is an increasingly porous one. Taipei, of course, is well suited to both: an urbane riverside jewel set among lush, rolling hills.
