Right on the southern edge of Lake Balaton, this resort is not your average lakeside escape. Mövenpick BalaLand fully embraces its theme, with interiors inspired by 'Around the World in 80 Days' and a Caribbean-colonial look outside. It is built for families, with a whimsical on-site theme park, kid-friendly suites, and plenty of grown-up perks, including a rooftop spa with wide-open lake views. Balaton has plenty of hotels, but few this imaginative, especially when it comes to keeping both kids and grown-ups entertained.
