About The Old School Guesthouse
Set in Austria’s scenic Südsteiermark wine country, The Old School Guesthouse revives a village school rebuilt after World War II with the support of the local community. From 1949 to 2012, it educated local children before Petra and Oliver, a pair of passionate hosts, lovingly transformed it into an intimate retreat. Personal touches abound, from herbal soaps crafted with garden-grown botanicals to artwork by long-time friends. With vineyard views and a kitchen fueled by its own edible garden, it is a lesson in thoughtful hospitality.
