About Tre Bacili | L’Ospitalità in Dimora
Small is beautiful in Puglia: Tre Bacili is a classic 18th and 19th-century Salentine mansion that’s living a second life as a beautifully refined six-room luxury boutique hotel, one which counts among its charms a lovely little outdoor pool and an adults-only policy that contributes to the property’s air of discreet tranquility and romance. The house’s architecture has been lovingly restored, and in archetypal Italian style its historical elements are counterposed against modern furnishings and other contemporary design gestures. The comforts, too, are up to date, if unobtrusively so; the result is an experience that combines the best of old and new. Tre Bacili’s bistro offers breakfast and cooking classes, and if you book in advance for a group of four or more, also lunch and dinner. Meanwhile the village of Spongano is nothing if not picturesque. When it comes time to explore, Lecce is close by, and any number of coastal towns and beaches are even closer; the hotel’s own serviced beach club stands a few minutes’ drive away.
