About Rezydent Sopot - MGallery
As the quiet fishing village of Sopot transformed into one of Poland’s most popular spa resorts in the mid-19th century, decorative villas and tenement houses were built around town to accommodate the growing population. Rezydent Sopot MGallery Hotel Collection is modeled after them: with its mansard roof and ornamental facade, it looks more like a historic landmark than a newly constructed luxury hotel. Rooms are modern and elegant with bespoke beds, arched windows, and Art Deco-inspired furnishings; suites have French doors opening onto wrought-iron balconies overlooking the Monte Cassino pedestrian promenade. Bathrooms are stocked with handmade soap made with amber that washes up on the nearby shores of the Baltic, and the traditional spa is a reminder of Sopot’s golden age as a wellness retreat for aristocratic Europeans.
