RISE Uptown brings an infusion of youthful energy into the Phoenix hospitality scene, setting up shop in a pair of adapted/renovated mid-century buildings on Camelback Road, flanked by hip local shops and eateries. Its bright and colorful rooms range from the very cozy Mini to the much more expansive Balcony + Firepit; at all levels they’re refreshingly stylish and full of thoughtful comforts. The pool and surrounding courtyard are the social heart of the place, and feature a cocktail bar called Lylo Swim Club, the highly regarded Cartel Coffee Lab, and, in what might be a boutique-hotel first, an upscale popsicle stand.
