About Relais Villa Savarese
Sorrento’s coastline is home to some of Italy’s most iconic hotels, but there is something luxuriously low-key about Relais Villa Savarese. Housed in a 19th-century former private residence, this intimate boutique hotel sits hidden away in a lush, leafy garden seemingly far from the summer crowds, and yet it’s just a ten-minute walk from Sorrento’s town center and a few minutes from the nearest beach. There are just ten light-flooded rooms, each attractively dressed in soft pastel shades, parquet flooring and antiques, and the higher category rooms come with balconies overlooking the pleasant garden. Outside, a large swimming pool is shaded by palms and citrus trees, and is intended as much for lounging, perhaps with a book borrowed from the library, as it is any actual swimming. And while there’s no restaurant, the hotel serves snacks all day, and guests won’t be short of dining options with Sorrento being such a short stroll away.
