About Nerocubo
A sleepy alpine valley as the setting for a modern design hotel — you must be in northern Italy. The sleek black-clad acute triangle that is Nerocubo stands in the midst of a natural landscape that has inspired awe since the Stone Age. Ostensibly geared for business travelers who desire access to a modern, full-service hotel en route to more urban destinations, the Nerocubo is also sited for easy access to the nearby Lake Garda and the Dolomite mountains, so the work-play balance needn’t be neglected. Excellent skiing and trekking opportunities abound, with visits to the thermal baths to round off the R&R. Inside the hotel, the matte black seamlessly winds its way through the minimalist décor, anchoring the palette of white, wood and muted jewel tones. The rooms are functionally diverse, including a wellness suite with its very own neon-lit sauna, a business suite with adjoining living/conference room, and an oversized deluxe family suite that features a freestanding entertainment center. And it’s worth noting ahead of time that if you book a room with a view — such as the Sky or Panorama suites, with their full-length windows — you’ll awaken to a stunning view of the surrounding Dolomites. Fitness suites are outfitted with weights, benches, and cardiovascular machines, wellness suites offers massage and a sauna directly in-room, and business suites provide space for en suite conferencing and meetings. For those who are interested solely in play, the full-service wellness center houses a turkish bath, sauna, solarium, and pool, with an “ice waterfall” that probably sounds more appealing after a spell in the sauna. There’s a lending library, ample business and conference facilities, and the restaurant and lounge stay open late with an extensive menu and a typically Italian wine list. How to get there: Nerocubo is approximately 45 minutes’ drive from Verona’s Valerio Catullo airport (VRN) and 55 minutes’ drive from Bolzano (BZO).
