About Room Mate Collection Mia\u002c Rome Colosseum
Room Mate Collection Mia, Rome Colosseum has some history, though not much compared to the ruins down the street — this was once a school, built in the early 20th century, and its facade remains relatively unassuming, with only a pair of palm trees flanking the doorway to dress it up. The interior is a different story, modern though unpretentiously so, more decorated than designed, with a cheery but tasteful palette and modern yet functional furniture. Staffers are friendly and attentive — you will likely have a cup of coffee in your hand before you've been here five minutes — and the facilities are no less hospitable, with such niceties as broadband internet and a well-appointed gym. The guest rooms are spacious, with high ceilings, and smartly decorated in bright, warm colors, with understated modern furnishings and details in blonde wood. Of special note is the rooftop terrace, and the relative calm of this neighborhood, just a few blocks to the east of the Colosseum. No location in this sprawling city is truly central, which means that this spot is as convenient as any other, with the added benefit of a legendary piece of history mere blocks away.
