    About Botaniste

Between the Seine and the Bois de Boulogne, in the up-and-coming Auteuil district of the relatively distant 16th, the Hôtel Botaniste finds space for a degree of tranquility that’s hard to find in more central Parisian neighborhoods. And as its name may suggest, it’s set in a remarkably verdant corner of town; a lovely private garden, in fact, connects the hotel’s two buildings. The rooms are chic in a low-key, somewhat bohemian way; floral prints are everywhere, as are actual flowers. They’re divided between the hotel’s two houses, Maison Molitor and Maison Boileau, though they share more similarities than differences. The comforts, meanwhile, are thoughtful, if not lavish — what’s luxurious about Hôtel Botaniste is its charmingly unhurried atmosphere. An impressive breakfast is served in the dining room or picnic-style in the garden, and light fare is available in the lounge all day long. Meanwhile the rest of Paris is easily accessible — the Chardon-Lagache metro station is a block away — and so is the vast green expanse of the Bois de Boulogne, in case the Hôtel Botaniste has got you in the mood for one of the world’s loveliest urban parks.
