About Baume
Its location is faultless: the heart of Old Paris, specifically the Latin Quarter, near Saint-Germain-des-Prés, mere steps from the Odéon Theatre. And Hôtel Baume’s style is everything you’d want from a Left Bank boutique hotel: this is an Art Deco classic, renewed and reinterpreted by the interior design agency Exclusive Interiors by T&T, who took their inspiration from the 1930s, presenting the decade’s glamour from multiple angles. The rooms and suites, then, vary not only in size but in theme, inspired variously by the era’s cinema, architecture, fashion, and more. This is homage, however, not a strict period re-creation — there’s an air of contemporary-luxe elegance alongside the retro inspiration. Unusually, some of them come with private terraces, which take in impressive views of the Odéon. Breakfast and tea are served in the Salon, which features a dining area protected by a glass roof; a light room service menu is available as well, as is an honesty bar. For lunch and dinner you’ll rely on the neighborhood — which, the Latin Quarter being what it is, offers a wealth of fine options.
