About Indarra
Most lodgings around the seaside resort of Biarritz are close to the beach, but a few are set back from the ocean in the wooded foothills of the Pyrénées — like the peaceful Hôtel Indarra. Occupying an old farmhouse thoughtfully redesigned by local architect Delphine Carrère, it’s a stylish escape that preserves elements of French Basque architectural tradition while infusing the space with a pared-down, refreshingly modern sensibility. Interiors feature clean lines, pale wood paneling, and oversized picture windows revealing the surrounding scenery. Rooms range from spacious terrace suites and quaint attic rooms to a duplex-style apartment with a freestanding tub and a minimalist cabin with a California king bed and a wide private deck. Other highlights include a cozy fireplace lounge and a gourmet breakfast served al fresco overlooking the beautiful gardens and seasonal outdoor pool.
