Meet Silver Sands Motel & Beach Bungalows, set on 45 acres fronting Peconic Bay in Greenport. This North Fork property’s neon light has flashed since the 1950s, but it’s come a long way since then; the vibe today is much more “quiet luxury” than hipster-chic. To that end, one of the bungalows functions as the Salt Marsh Wellness Sanctuary, offering therapies that range from facials and massages to yoga and guided breathwork. Meanwhile there’s plenty of mid-century atmosphere on display at the upscale diner-style Nookies, while the seasonal Eddie’s serves oysters alongside Mediterranean fare. And The Boathouse is exactly that: a century-old boathouse transformed into a seafood-focused restaurant with a sailor-bar vibe.
